Getting Started
How do I add my first income stream?
Open the dashboard, go to Income Streams, and select Add Stream. Name it after the gig or platform you use, such as Uber, your Etsy shop, or a freelance client. You can add as many streams as your plan allows and log income to each one separately.
How do I log income or an expense?
From the dashboard, use Log Income or Log Expense. Pick the income stream, enter the amount, set the date, and add an optional note. Each entry takes about ten seconds. Your dashboard totals and charts update right away.
Do I need an account to use the app?
Yes. We use passwordless sign in, so you only need a valid email address. We send a magic link to that address, you tap it, and you are signed in. There are no passwords to remember or reset.
Plans and Billing
What is included in the Free plan?
The Free plan covers one income stream with basic income and expense tracking and a simple dashboard. It is a good way to try the app before upgrading.
What do Pro and Tax Season add?
Pro, at 3.99 dollars per month, unlocks unlimited income streams, mileage tracking with the IRS deduction calculator, real time quarterly tax estimates, receipt photo storage, and the goal tracker. Tax Season, at 9.99 dollars per year, includes everything in Pro plus full year CSV export and a CPA ready Schedule C summary.
How do I cancel or change my plan?
Open Settings, then Billing, and choose Manage Subscription. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. If you cancel, paid features stay active until the end of your current billing period.
How do I get a refund?
Email us at hello@epicai.ai with the email address on your account and a short note about the issue. We review refund requests case by case and respond within two business days.
Tracking and Taxes
How does mileage tracking work?
Log a trip with its purpose, date, and miles driven. The app multiplies your miles by the IRS standard mileage rate of 0.67 dollars per mile for 2024 and shows your running deduction total for the year.
How are tax estimates calculated?
The tax estimator adds your logged income, subtracts business expenses and your mileage deduction, then applies self employment tax at 15.3 percent along with your federal and state rates. It also splits the result into quarterly payment amounts.
Are these estimates official tax advice?
No. Side Hustle Tracker gives you organized records and helpful estimates, not tax, legal, or financial advice. We recommend confirming numbers with a qualified tax professional before you file.
How do I export my data for an accountant?
With the Tax Season plan, open Reports and choose CSV Export or the Schedule C Summary. The files include every income, expense, and mileage entry for the year, formatted so you or your CPA can use them directly.
Account and Data
Is my financial data private?
Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit and stored securely. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your financial entries with third parties. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.
How do I export or delete my account?
You can request a portable copy of your data or full account deletion by emailing hello@epicai.ai from your account address. Once a deletion request is confirmed, we remove your personal data within 30 days.
I did not receive my sign in link. What should I do?
Check your spam or promotions folder first, since the link arrives from an automated address. Magic links expire after 15 minutes, so request a fresh one if needed. If it still does not arrive, contact us and we will help.
